Luciano is generously donating his cooking talents and hospitality to host tonight’s special event for our team. Dave and I will be filming portions of our gathering, for the upcoming documentary. Special thanks to my longtime dear friend, Laina Bolla, who is volunteering to give Luciano a helping hand tonight with his dinner presentation. We are all so excited to taste the best of Italy and to spend time with our project teammates from across Northern Ohio. Pictures and more tomorrow!
The Vincina Protocol ALS Project Online Media Kit and website development is coming along. We’ve completed the initial stage of designing and creating content for the WordPress blog website. We’ve also created a LinkedIn company page, Twitter and Facebook Pages which are being updated weekly. Executive Director Michael Helfinstine, of Conneaut, Ohio (Ashtabula County) is being trained by Cheryl Dickson-Walker and his daughter-in-law, Shannon Helfinstine on managing content on the social media sites.
Today, Cheryl is finishing up writing Mike’s biography for the website. The information on the website will be used to populate a printed media kit, for his presentation to an MDA banquet tomorrow. Cheryl will also be writing a short speech for him to deliver, summarizing the Vincina Protocol Project and making the connection between finding a cause and cure for ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and Muscular Dystrophy and other motor neuron diseases. It will be a busy day, but we will ‘Git ‘Er Dun’!

Media Magic is proud to announce that today we are kicking off our long-term documentary and public awareness project, with creation of an online press / media kit and social media marketing for The Vincina Protocol Project – Prevention, Treatment and Cure for ALS / Lou Gehrig’s Disease , The project is spearheaded by Michael Helfinstine, of Conneaut, Ohio, in Ashtabula County, who recently lost his beloved wife Vincina ‘Squeak’ Helfinstine, to this cruel and devastating disease. It was Squeak’s greatest wish that Mike carry on the fight for a proper medical treatment and diagnosis protocol, so doctors could spot and treat patients in the early stages of ALS, before it becomes too late to make a difference, as it was her case. Right now, there is no cure or true understanding in the medical community of what causes ALS or how to effectively treat victims, so it is our mission to work with the brightest minds in the ALS community to unite in their medical research and come up with a universal protocol. Please follow our progress in this incredible journey toward knowledge and understanding, and contact is with your thoughts or suggestions:The Vincina Protocol Project on Facebook Mike Helfinstine’s ALS Twitter Feed hashtag #VincinaProtocolASL and The Vincina Protocol Project on LinkedIn .
